Two things happen in the Iconic map
a)Sometimes when accessing CISCO--|Decnet|---DnaAreaTables
The mouse arrow is in permanent processing state and
never finishes.
DECmcc message Software error . An internal error occurred in
the ICONIC MAP PM
ERROR 1 on decterm. I then closedown the process.

b)Sometime when accessing CISCO--|Decnet|---DnaAreaTable
The whole window collapse
ERROR 3 on decterm
===========================================================================
I have noticed if you access CISCO parent and check attri,char,etc .Then
access DECnet (CISCO---->Decnet) and check char,attri,etc .A good chance
of working .
Then finally access DnaAreaTable is seem to be ok.
CISCO---->Decnet---->DnaAreaTables
Then you can pop in/out of different CISCO entities with out any errors.

Version Is 1.1 .
Do you want the image IDs
Gary
|
2756.4 | You might have an old image. | YAHEY::BOSE | | Thu Apr 16 1992 18:20 | 12 |
|
Yes, image IDs,(and the image dates), would be helpful. The SNMP AM
V1.1 had a problem similar to the one you have described, and the
SSB kit had to be updated with new images. You might want to refer
to Notes 3.111, 1687 and 1694 for further discussion of the
problem.
Can you try the same command from FCL? If it works, but access
violates from the map, then one can safely assume that you do not
have the latest version of the V1.1 SNMP AM executable.

2756.7 | See note 3.116 for latest update A, SNMP V1.1 | DANZO::CARR | | Fri Apr 24 1992 15:07 | 5 |

A mandatory update was issued along with the V1.1 ssb kit, if you
had installed the correct kit you would have had fewer nightmares.

Thanks for your REPLY.
I would love to install V1.1 (TCPIP AM) kits.

I have the latest CDs ( VMS Consolidated Software Distribution)
for March 1992. But as I excepted it is only V1.0 .
Is V1.1 TOP SECRET and only available to a selected few ie
States only
