    I am running DECmcc V1.2 BL 4 on ULTRIX 4.2.
    
    When I create an alarm rule using the iconic map PM, I am forced to
    enter the entity name in its short form. If i don't, I get a syntax
    error.
    
    (Eg. node1 is OK, LOCAL_NS:.MCC.IP.node1-det-dec-com is not.)
    
    The problem is that, if I have used autoconfigure to create a map with
    the long names, the alarm rule I create will not turn the icons colors. 
    
    I have not found a way to extract the alarm rule on ULTRIX and edit it
    to change to the long name.  
    
    Any suggestions?

	That problem should no longer exist. Alarms has been modified to do the correct translation from short to long (fullname), as well as the notification FM picking it up as well. jill
