Has any one ever attempted to create the default MCC DNS directories in some place other that the root of the namespace. I don't see why you couldn't do this. You would have to either modify MCC_DNS_SETUP.COM or create them manually from DNS$CONTROL. Then as each entity was registered the full name would be include. I have a large customer with five DECmcc's and they would like to have them run from Two or three DNS servers. They would like to create a child of the root for each DECmcc system. Can this be done and has anyone tried it. Gary

yup, it has been (can be) done; we just don't currently list it as an available/supported configuration. If you really need it please contact me off-line and I will give the correct contact informatin. jill |
