The wonders of VMS. At present there is a limitation with MCC_DNA5_EVL process which can only handled one incoming event stream. In the real world there will be more than one PhaseV node passing event to the DECmcc station Questions --------- 1)When will the MCC_DNA5_EVL be able handled multiple inbound streams like MCC_DNA4_EVL. 2)Is there a short term fix Several MCC_DNA5_EVL processes object 91 object 92 object 93 object 94 etc Interfacing into mcc_main.exe Gary Malloy (DTN 7844 3308)

For VMS for V1.2 there will only be a single concurrent event stream. We agree that this is a significant limitation. It is high on our priorities for post V1.2 work. There are only so many hours in a day and so many days in a week. There are a number of important things needed in the DECnet/OSI AM which require us to make an update to it as soon as is feasible. We plan to update the DECnet OSI AM at the earliest possible date after V1.2 FCS with an asynchronous release of the AM. No target dates are set but the engineers are already working on the design and coding for these upgrades. wally |
