    I am getting at unpredictable frequencies event alarming/notification
    disabled.  
    
    I have seen both 'Event Manager reported a lost event' and 'Invalid
    Lockid' error messages.  Is there any light that can be thrown on the
    cause of this?  The system is running VMS 5.4-2, DECmcc 1.1 with the
    TransLAN and SNMP AM's.  There are about 90 alarm rules enabled.  
    
    I have looked in the log files which are standardly produced, are there
    other messages/logs that can be turned on?
