2693.0. "DECmcc/U*X T1.2.4 : Fatal Database Internal Error" by ZTOIS1::VISTA (Renato VISTA, SIS Strasbourg, France) Mon Apr 06 1992 06:44
Hello,
I'm working on a DECmcc/ULTRIX T1.2.4 on a DS5000/25 (with LOCAL DNS).
After doing SNMP registrations and setting snmp rules on
IpReachability, as rules were running, the CPU crashed.
When I'm trying to enable rules again, I get the following message :
MCC-F-DBFATAL, Fatal Database Internal Error
Does anybody has an idea about what to do in that case ? Is the MIR
(local DNS files) corrupted because of unexpected CPU crash ?
Thank you for your help.
Renato

2693.1 | you might have a corrupt mir. | TOOK::CALLANDER | MCC = My Constant Companion | Mon Apr 27 1992 18:39 | 6 |
| Did you system crash recently? the ultrix file i/o system (and I am NO
expert on this -- we just discussed it this morning) doesn't always
flush its write cache, so if mcc or the system crashes some times the
file io is not complete and this can leave corrupt MIRs. You might want
to try a new mir to see what happens.
