| I still haven't solved the problem in .0, that is:
MCC Routine Error |
| %MCC-E-NOTFOUND, unsupported
| combination of verb, entity, partition

Can anyone help? Even a "This has been QAR'd" or "RTFM" would be
appreciated.

2649.2 | mcc-e-notfound is an enrollment error message | TOOK::CALLANDER | MCC = My Constant Companion | Tue Apr 21 1992 11:05 | 10 |
| that error means that we have tried to do a getevent request and
the management module that says it supports this request is either
not enrolled or doesn't actually support the command. If you are
simply using the standard kit with no extra add-ons and have
default notification enabled from the map, then you need to verify
that alarms is enrolled. Enroll the alarms fm and then exit and
restart MCC, this will most likely clear the problem.

I assume alarms is enrolled, since otherwise, alarms wouldn't work at all.
As I said, it generally works okay. I can define and enable and delete
alarms, and they do everything they're supposed to. My only problem is
this annoying error message which pops up after I start up and then doesn't
bother me anymore. In any case, I tried to re-enroll alarms, as suggested.
When I choose "Enroll..." from the File pulldown menu, I get a window asking
me for the module name. I tried "Alarms", "Alarm", and "Alarms_FM" and
always get a "file not found" error message.
>>> This will most likely clear the problem.
It doesn't. Any other ideas?

You can turn notification off, if you really want to. But then when alarms fire
your icons won't turn colors. To turn it off, bring up the Customize->Map
dialogue box from the map window, then click on the "Notification: Disable"
button, press OK, then Customize->Save Current Settings. Then, when domains
are opened, notification won't be started up.
If alarms is working, then as Jill stated in .1, there's probably another
management module that's not enrolled. SNMP caused a similar problem in
some baselevels, but I thought the error was "invalid attribute partition".
What kinds of members are in the domain? Does the domain have dynamic
subdomains? If so, what kinds of members are in them?
If any of the domain members are listed in the dictionary as having events
in the notification partition, the notification FM will attempt to issue
a GETEVENT to those entities, and if the MM supporting that class hasn't
enrolled a GETEVENT verb, you'll get this error.

| This problem has gone away. I upgraded to 1.2.7 and the problem remained,
but I deleted an old boilerplate file MCC_FDICTIONARY.BPT found in
SYS$SPECIFIC:[MCC] and that has apparently done the trick.
I'm not sure what the connection is, but if someone wants to shed more light
on this he is welcome to.
