	There are two items of interest regarding DECmcc in this note.
	The first lists the schedule for the V1.2 field test update.  The 
	second lists pointers to the following DRAFT SPDs:  DECmcc Product
	Family Overview, DECmcc Director, DECmcc Developer's Toolkit, and
	DECmcc BMS. 

	
	Field Test Update and Schedule Status

	As many readers of the DECmcc notesfile may already know, there
	will be a field test update of DECmcc V1.2.  The schedule for
	completing the intermediate base levels and delivery of the kit
	to field test sites is as follows:  

		Base Level 17         3/16/92           Completion
                Base Level 18         3/27/92           Completion 
	        Base Level 19         4/10/92           Completion 
	        Field Test Update     4/16/92           Ship

	Naturally, the update schedule will have an impact on the SSB and
	FCS schedules.  New SSB and FCS dates are not available at this time.
	Three to four weeks into the field test update, the MCC team will 
	evaluate the testing and quality to date and make a determination 
	regarding the SSB and FCS schedule.  If I were FORCED to provide an 
	FCS date today, I would say the end of June.  Additional status in-
	formation will be posted as it becomes available. 
	
	There are no plans to make intermediate base levels available to
	any group outside of a selected list of strategic partners.  How-
	ever, base level 19 MAY be made available internally before SSB.

	The DECmcc team does not have the resources to support any additional
	customer field test sites at the time of the update.  If you feel you 
	have a STRONG case for making a particular customer a DECmcc field test
        site, please contact me -- and be prepared to provide local support.


	SPD Drafts

	Draft SPDs can be copied from DELNI::USER$182:[S_LANE.PUBLIC].
	
	NOTE:  The drafts are for INTERNAL USE ONLY.  They are unedited
	       and have not been approved by engineering or product management.
	       Pointers to subsequent drafts and drafts of the other product 
	       SPDs will be posted in this notesfile as they become available.
	       If you have any comments or suggestions regarding these drafts,
	       please send me mail.
	
	The following drafts are currently available:

		OVERVIEW_SPD.TXT	This is an overview of all DECmcc
				        V1.2 products.  It briefly describes 
	  				the products and their relationship to 
					one another.  

		PACKAGE_MATRIX.TXT	Print at 132 column width and use in
					conjunction with the Overview SPD. 

		DIR_SPD.TXT		DECmcc V1.2 Director SPD

		TOOLKIT_SPD.TXT		DECmcc Developer's Toolkit V1.2 SPD

		BMS_SPD.TXT		DECmcc Basic Management V1.2 SPD
