| The text description in the notification PM display is the
reply text string for the event defined by the MSL.
As to where the value information is returned by the alarms
module, it should be returned as part of the additional
information supplied with the event. I will give a check
see to make sure it is being returned.
Now to clarify two points:
1) I believe the section in the manual you are referring to is
describing what is displayed in the notification brief format, double
clicking on the notification will display all of the additional
information returned to the PM by the event source.
2) There has been an enhancement made to the notification PM
functions. This enhancement allows users/developers to tell the PM
where to get the "text description" from. This function was added so as
to allow modules that only support 1 generic event, a means of using
the argument data for the text description (the data collector module
is a prime example of such an event source). More information will be
forthcoming on this in the near future.
Hope this helps some.

| Oh, one more thing on rereading the note. The last question is a bit
confusing to me. See if this helps. When you select an entity and then
request to display alarms, you will see a "correlated" list of
notifications currently available on the entity. (This menu item should
be renamed to display notifications because it displays more than just
alarms -- use the filters window to filter notification by event type.)
What you will see in this situation are all uncorrelated notifications.
Where correlated would mean if you got a OSI rule fired followed by an
alarm clear event on the same entity/rule then only the clear will be
displayed; also if you got 10 of the same event on the same entity
(like 10 automatic counter events on a remote node) then only the last
one will be displayed. To see all of the events you use the
notification window.
