We are getting the dreaded cma-threads fstat error on one of our access modules. I need some advice on how to proceed. The problem happens when the AM is free running if I use the debugger ( dbx ) then the operation completes OK. The error is :- %Internal error: cma__open_general: unexpected fstat error %Thread 7 terminating with bugcheck. on versions :- ULTRIX 4.2 DECmcc 1.2.4 Q: Is the caused by a accvio etc in our image or is this a problem with the CMA threads. The earlier note 1579 seems to suggest it is. Is there any way out of this hole ( quickly ) ? John Porteous OSEC Manchester

> Is there any way out of this hole ( quickly ) ? Well, obviously not quickly :-) I would suggest trying the CLT::CMA notes conference. There is some discussion of the FSTAT problem, and you might get advice on the (possibly unrelated) bugcheck. -- Erik |
