Hi, I have a customer who is running DECmcc on a colour monitor and also displaying it on a monochrome monitor on another system. Is there anyway that I can set the monochrome display up so that when an alarm occurs notification applicable to a monochrome monitor occurs (ie a bell rings next to the icon) rather than the icon change colour, which you can't see ?? Thanks, Jill Finch

You can set up such defaults, but I don't believe you can do them on a per display basis. You either setup your resource file for a black and white or a color monitor. | |||||

Yes, create two usernames for the two users. Give them different SYS$LOGIN directories (or cheat with the login.com to reassign SYS$LOGIN) so they each can have their own MCC_RESOURCE file. The can have the same UIC and have MCC_MAPS point to the same maps. s/rob |
