2413.0. "Maximum size of a Latin1String in the dictionary?" by TAEC::SILVA (Carl Silva, TBG Eng, SAT-0/C-H6, DTN:828-5339) Tue Feb 25 1992 06:05
I know that there is no current method to specify the maximum size of a
Latin1String field in the MSL, but can anyone think of an OK way to store a
maximum Latin1String length in the MSL for now? Should I re-use the UNITS
definition? I realize that this is not normal but I really need a way to
store the maximum size of a Latin1String in the dictionary. Is there any way
to "fake out" the MSL compiler as well so that it would also generate a C
#define statement for the maximum length? 8-)
Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Carl
