How are required arguments handled by the REGISTER directive ? The FCL PM explicitely ask for these arguments, if these are not provided. This is as expected. However, when trying to REGISTER in the ICONIC MAP, I only get a window with the reference attributes. I do not get the required argument(s) in the attribute window with an "*" beside, as it is the case with the node SYNONYM when registering a NODE4 entity. What do I have to specify more to get a global entity registered this way by the ICONIC MAP PM ? Regards, Dominique.

Since Partial Registration was introduced, register arguments (like synonym for Node4) are no longer required. However if you register an entity and do not fill enough information for a full registration, a message is displayed to tell you that the entity is partially registered. All register arguments for the entity class in question should be displayed in the form. What entity class are you trying to register? What version of MCC, What operating system are you using? Verna, I did a lot of tests again. Now I do not see the probelm any more. When I specify an argument as "required" in the register request, it works fine. I must have done something wrong in the MSL earlier, but I will not try to find out why! Thanks for comments, Regards, Dominique. |
