My X1.2.15 install appears to have emptied by previous MIR. Should this have occured ? Can I recover my previous data ? I was using the local MIR, not DNS..... Upgrading T1.2.4 to X1.2.15 on VMS V5.5 %*( Rex

It is DECmcc installation "policy" not to delete data files. If
anything the old files get renamed. Sometimes conversion utilities
are used to reformat old files. There was a bug in earlier kits
where the DNS Local MIR files were getting purged (if the user
specified the purge option). Fixing this was on our "to do" list.
I will check up on it.
