The latest base level ( and hence SSB version of V1.2)
will update local decnet data base when registring nodes
through Autoconfig registration scripts.
I am not sure if SNMP AM will do the same. May be Dan
can answer that question.
Note that �4 will update the data base if either name and
address is supplied at the time of registration of if only
address is supplied then if it can communicate to the
node, it will get the name from the node whence update
local data base.

I think this is in X1.2.15 on VMS, and will be in the next
update (whatever that is) on ULTRIX.
