Hi
Two "yoyo" (which show and hide) problems appeared on the Vaxstation 5000
running VMS V5.5 I am using for demos.
1) I am working with three entities : A Decbridge 500, a Phase IV node
a IP node.
o Often when a "Show status" is issued I get the message :
"Dispatch Local Management Module file access error during probe".
o When I get this message and issue a "Look into" I get :
"The show identifiers operation is not supported for ....
o Also I do not see the sub-entities "Line" and "Circuit" for a Node4
and the subentity "Line" for the DEbridge 500.
2) I tried a "Show counters" on a circuit to get the message :
"Datatype not yet implemented"
I must reckon that aEndpoint and zEndpoint were not actually the
ends of a DDCMP line, but the endS of TWO distinct lines.
Is this bad trick the reason of the problem ?
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for "closing" my yoyo problem.
But what about the circuit "datatype not yet implemented"

There are two thongs to note here:
1) The EFT version of Iconic map did NOT support the display of
the Counter information for a Circuit Global Entity. It will
support in the SSB version.
Try using FCL to "show the counters". If you still get the
error, please report here

2) In V1.2, Circuiut AM will NOT check for Physical connectivity.
It is upto the users to maintain the physiscal connectivity by
specifying the proper end points.
Check for Physical Connectivity, and the semantics of a
connection are part of the post V1.2 plan for Circuit AM.
