2363.0. "Automatic Line Recognition of Scanned Backdrop maps - Autocad, Adobe Illustrator" by MUTTON::LAMB (Peter Lamb - GSG Santa Clara) Tue Feb 18 1992 16:51
Hello,
In # 1610 there was a discussion of creating backdrop maps using Autocad.
This is great, however my problem is that the maps I have are all on paper
and I would like to scan them in. I am aware of .XBM support in V1.2 however
I also know that this is good only for fixed windows (ie. won't pan etc.)
My question is whether anyone has investigated using any line recognition
capabilities (I know Adobe Illustrator has it) thus converting the image
to vector (lines) and then somehow moving this into Autocad???
I know its a streach but just thought I would ask!!
