Don't *think* so. (at least not for DECnet IV).

Nope. Definitely not.

2317.2 | SNMP + IP Routing WILL be O.K. | SUBWAY::REILLY | Mike Reilly - New York Bank District | Tue Feb 11 1992 16:38 | 7 |
| The SNMP based management solution from Vitalink will allow primitive
management of the bridges if they are on the far-side of an IP
router.
I don't know if Vitalink have shipped their SNMP agent yet..

| re . sinking message to multiple MCC stations.
I don't see the problem in doing this from DECnet Phase IV source nodes.
It is possible to set multiple sink nodes within NCP, and then event messages
get sent to all the specified sinks.
Eg:
NCP> SET LOGG MONI SINK NODE node1 EVENT event-list
NCP> SET LOGG MONI SINK NODE node2 EVENT event-list
Or do I not understand the question??

2317.4 | Must specify node to which trap/event will go | CUJO::HILL | Dan Hill-Net.Mgt.-Customer Resident | Wed Feb 19 1992 23:53 | 5 |
| My experience has been the same as Graham's. You must specify each
sink node explicitly. The SNMP trap or the DECnet event is designated
for a specific sink node.
