I am trying to manage a DECnet-VAX ententions node with DECmcc on a DECnet Phase IV node and I am having some trouble understanding how to register the P5 node. I am running DECmcc T1.2.4 with the MIR namespace option. P4 node - P4 Name: CAT081, P4 address: 52.729 p5 node - P4 name: CAT047, P4 address 52.621 NSAP (I am doing this from memory) 394e4f0200000002e201, Full node name: .mls.catp5 I followed the directions from the DECnet/OSI AM document. CREATE NODE CAT081 REMOTE NODE CAT047 REGISTER NODE .mls.catp5 CAT047. The best I get is a partial registration. What is the syntax for registering a P5 node in DECmcc with an NSAP address? I haven't been able to locate it in the doc set. Many thanks. Chip

There are some problems with the current NSAP implementation (the changing world we live in... ;-> ), so I am not certain they will work correctly for you. these have been fixed for our next internal build. I have forwarded your request to the dna5 PL (Stella Ko has recently taken on that position) for more clarification/information. |
