2234.1 | Yes, you can adjust the threshold | TOOK::MINTZ | Erik Mintz, DECmcc Development | Fri Jan 31 1992 09:17 | 12 |
| There is an icon on the right side of the graph that allows you to
adjust the threshold. It looks a bit like a sideways hypodermic needle.
To set a threshold, click MB1 on the threshold locked icon
(looks like a padlock) to unlock the threshold. Then click MB1
on the threshold marker icon (the needle) and move the threshold anywhere
on the graph.
This will all be documented in an updated "Use" manual.

2234.2 | values needed for threshold | ICS::WOODCOCK | | Fri Jan 31 1992 09:45 | 25 |
| Hi Erik,
I think base note may be referring to a slightly different problem.
>There is an icon on the right side of the graph that allows you to

>To set a threshold, click MB1 on the threshold locked icon

This is all well and good but if the graph comes up with a 0-20 scale for
example, and the threshold is set to '15', red will be outlined above 15.
The problem is that the threshold isn't at "15" it is at 3/4 scale. Therefore
when a value greater than 20 comes in the scale changes (lets say to 0-100
as an example). The threshold, rather than staying at 15, has now changed to
"75" and all previous red bars are now blue. What is needed is the ability to
select a *value* as a threshold regardless of scale.
kind regards,
brad...

2234.3 | Good point | TOOK::MINTZ | Erik Mintz, DECmcc Development | Fri Jan 31 1992 09:51 | 4 |

2234.4 | Its a BUG, not a suggestion... | TAVIS::PERETZ | | Fri Jan 31 1992 15:19 | 7 |

In my humble opinion this is a ***BUG*** that must be fixed and should be
treated as a bug (and not as a suggestion). Setting the alarm level at 3/4
of the scale instead of at a VALUE is useless and misleading.

2234.5 | Already QAR'ed months ago. | RACER::dave | Attending The School of Comparative Irrevelevance | Fri Jan 31 1992 16:42 | 6 |
| This was QAR'ed about 2 months ago. (accually about the time of
build 3 or build 4), along with lots of other problems that graph has,
like not being able to set the direction of the alarm (low values are bad),
not the colours used for the various parts of the graph. Some people
are colour blind to specific colours, and I would like to be able to
choose some other than just blue and red.

2234.6 | It's a Bug and iit s fixed available for field test update. | TOOK::A_MOORE | | Mon Feb 03 1992 11:34 | 11 |
| Graph or label resizing moves threshold is a known bug. reported as internal
QAR's 1743 and 1216. It has been fixed.
It will be available for field test update.
Changing of colors for graph is under investigation. ( I think there is a
solution, but have not had time to try it.)
Also there is help for graphs in the MAP window help.

| And on the "color", think also of a black and white display. Then
think about representing "red" as a particular pattern (cross hatch,
diagonnal shading, something user setable...).
