2223.0. "Icon does not change color when SNMP alarm fires" by CUJO::HILL (Dan Hill-Net.Mgt.-Customer Resident) Thu Jan 30 1992 00:27

I have an alarm rule which includes the following expression:

EXPRESSION = (SNMP vax1 ipReachability = DOWN, AT EVERY 00:00:30)

The rule works perfectly. "COUNTERS Evaluation True" keeps
incrementing and "STATUS Current Severity" is "Critical". Notification
window shows the firing instances of the alarm.

In addition, the parent domain icon does change color
to match the "Critical" severity. When UCX is started again on the VAX,
the next instance in the notification window indicates "CLEAR", but the
domain icon color does not clear.

Is this a known bug in BMS T1.2.4 ?

Yup, that's a known bug, and we are working on it. After the fix, the
domain icon color will change to "CLEAR" (in your example).
