I am installing DECmcc BMS T1.2.4 and ELM AM T1.2 on a VMS Vaxstation running T5.5-4ZK. The BMS installation is fine but when installing ELM AM, I <CRTL-Y> when running the Help Builder. Then I re-install ELM AM and the Update of dictionary hung with the following line displayed: Reading parse table file: SYS$COMMON:[MCC]MCC_FDICTIONARY.BPT;2 Then I deleted the last version of the SYS$COMMON:[MCC]MCC_FDICTIONARY.BPT. After a new VMSInstal, we have the following messages: Using parse table log file: SYS$COMMON:[MCC]MCC_FDICTIONARY.LOG;4 Reading parse table file: SYS$COMMON:[MCC]MCC_FDICTIONARY.BPT;2 Please wait while dictionary files are updated Partial rebuild error: can't find EST for parent %MCCPTB-E-ALLOCERR, Unable to allocate memory. DECmcc Help File Builder The Help Builder runs successfully but the IVP failed. Please what does these messages mean ? Is it possible to de-install properly ELM AM ? How to regenerate a new version of the Dictionary ? Thx. JLuc

| How to regenerate a new version of the Dictionary ?
You'll have to re-install BMS to get a new dictionary and parse table
to start with, and then install the ELM kit again. Please do not
CTRL/Y out of the installation procedure. It takes about 90 minutes to
install the ELM kit. Yes, the help files take a long time to build,
but there is no short-cut around this with the T1.2.4 kit. The next
release of the toolkit has some significant enhancements to the help
file builder and it will take less time.
