I was in the middle of registering a node when my system crashed. Now I seem to have a partial registration which I can't get rid of. I can't finish the registration and I can't de-register it. When I tried to straighten the mess out with the FCL interface, I didn't succeed either. I say: MCC> SHOW NODE4 ISROUT and it says: Node4 51.30 AT 27-JAN-1992 17:57:16 Identifiers Examination of Attributes shows: Address = 51.30 Name = ISROUT I say: MCC> DEREGIS NODE4 ISROUT and it says: Node4 ISROUT AT 27-JAN-1992 17:57:37 The entity Node4 ISROUT is not registered Not Registered Entity = Node4 ISROUT I say: MCC> REGIS NODE4 ISROUT and it says: Node4 LOCAL_NS:.isrout AT 27-JAN-1992 17:57:40 The entity is already registered with MCC. Any ideas how to get out of this loop? I'm using 1.2.4 and I'm using the MIR instead of DNS. Thanks for any help.

Unfortunately, there is currently no way to recover from this state. If you were using DNS, it would be possible with some dnscp commands, but there is currently no way to repair a local namespace file. There is already a QAR describing this problem. |
