2165.0. "Can't delete export problems again" by CARWSH::COMFORT (Spent a little time on the hill) Wed Jan 22 1992 10:27

    Hi,

I am experiencing problems suspending, modifying and deleting an export
directive. I have read the other note (#1080) about this same problem,
however, no real solution is offered. I have tried combinations of
upper case and lower case directives to no avail. I consitently get
    the following error:

    MCC> SUSPEND EXPORT NODE4 PHX25 CIRC FRLNK1-1 -
    export target=dkb300:[mcc_export]mcc_export.rdb

    Node4 PHX25 Circuit FRLNK1-128KB
    AT 22-JAN-1992 10:18:42

The requested operation cannot be completed
Entity Existence Info = Entity Existence Cannot Be Determined,
MCC Routine Error = %MCC-E-NOENTITY, no corresponding
                                     entity instance exists
    MCC>

One odd thing happened when I was trying to modify the export. The
export period was the default of 00:15:00 and I wanted to change this
to 01:00:00. I entered the command, got the previous error back,
however the export period now shows 01:00:00 with the show command and
the exporter is still operating at 00:15:00. Anyway, I have a pretty
serious problem here and am looking for a way out (exporting circuit
data every 15 minutes is a good way to fill up disks).

    Thanks for your help.

Do you mean that Show Exporting command works but all others (Suspend,
        Modify, and Delete) don't?

In this case would you, please, do Show Exporting and Suspend Exporting
and send me (TOOK::SHMUYLOVICH) or put here a result.

Is this a mistyping you made when you entered a note or in the |
Suspend Exporting command you specified circuit name as FRLNK1-1? |

Well, if Show Exporting tells that export period is 1 hour the
easiest thing to do is to kill the background process and start it
again. It will get the new value of the export period.

Please, before doing this send me a result of Show Exporting and one
of the following commands: Modify, Suspend, Delete (Exporting).

Additionally, this seems to prevent the actual exporting of the
circuit data collect for this circuit, as I cannot generate graphs
for this circuit but can for other ones that I can perform the
nessecary commands. In my case, this circuit (of course) is the
single most critical circuit to record data on.

Sorry it took so long to get this to you.
