2041.0. "Conflict between MCC counters and NCP counters" by RGNET8::BOUTHIETTE (Feed your lust for life!!) Tue Jan 07 1992 13:32

I have been seeing some strange behavior related to line counters on a
DEMSA which I have recently begun monitoring with DECmcc t1.2.4. THe
problem/behavior I have been seeing is a difference between the line
counters as seen by DECmcc and by NCP.

To be specific, I have an alarm built which monitors send failures
on a DEC-router 2000 ETHERNET line. The alarm fired almost instantly
when is was enabled, so I looked at the counters via the Iconic map
and it showed there WERE send failure in the line counters. I then
looked at the DECrouter 2000 via NCP and no errors showed on the line.

Is this a known bug ??

2041.2when can we get the next release?TAV02::KALAIWed Jan 15 1992 03:5017
	Shalom,

When does DECMCC T1.2.X will be release?

I need as quick as possible the fixe for MCC counters.
During the next ten day I am putting up a demo trying to prove
to one of our customer that we can monitor big and sensitive WAN
network .One important key in the demo is alarm on ERROR PERCENT.

Is it possible to get it?

	Thank you

I'm sorry, we don't have anything later than T1.2.4 available.

We MAY have an internal update available at the end of the month.
