Hi, One of my customer is using Fastpath-Kinetics routers as interface between Apple-Talk and Ethernet LAN. This customer will use DECmcc to manage his network and is interrested to know if he can manage the Fastpath by DECmcc as well. The protocol used is SNMP. Does someone already tried to managed such equipment with DECmcc and if yes what are the limitation. Or do we have information concerning the private extension of Fastpath in order to update the DECmcc data dictionary. Thanks in advance, Robert

As long as the management protocol is SNMP, then DECmcc will support it. All you need is to get the proprietary MIB extensions from Fastpath-Kinetics and run them through the MIB translator and Dictionary build procedure to add them to the data dictionary. wally | |||||
