Hello, I'm still a relative newcommer to DECmcc and am wondering if someone could please answer a simple (dumb) question... With V1.2 how will one do network performance monitoring (a la LTM)?? I thought that this capability was being added in to 1.2 but can't seem to find any information in the documentation on it (I have read the section\ on performance monitoring in the DECmcc User's guide). Thanks and regards! Peter Lamb

Have you tried the Performance Analyzer & the Iconic Map graphing capability? | |||||

If the site has the newer LAN Bridge 200's then it is possible to collect much of the same info as LTM collects and to display it with the graphing package that is in the iconic map. If the bridges are OEMs then you might check out what is available via SNMP AM (ie. what is there via Proprietary MIBs or RMON MIB). If the site has LTM listeners then I am afraid you are out of luck for V1.2. The LTM AM did not get completed in time to make it. It is high on the priority list for post V1.2 but until we complete our current planning cycle, we have no ETA. wally |
