	Hello,


	I am running VMS DECmcc T1.2.4 on a VS3100 24MB.
	I am using the MIR (not DNS) as instance repository.
	

	I have enrolled the modules by running mcc_enroll_bms
	and mcc_enroll_dir (and using the FCL PM too evrything seemed fine)
        and I have set up the alarm rule max_hops2
	and started notification on it.


	I tried to deprotect the MIR ALARM FM instance and attribute files
	and the dispatch tables , but still I get the attached error
        when I try to evaluate the rule.

	Does someone has any idea ?

    did you happen to enroll this on top of an existing v1.1 installation?
    If so please check that you didn't have any files in you sys$specific
    or mcc_specific directories that might be causing a conflict.

    What happens if you type:
    
    	Show node4 .chayes maximum hops, at every 00:05:00
    
    This is the command that alarms will use to get the data

    My guess is that either the MM is protected or not in the right
    directory.
