Am I correct in assuming that the Ingres Base Tools and VIGRAPH (as required for
the Ultrix Reports package) are 3rd party tools that we have to pay a royalty
for? If so, do we have a Corporate license for internal use only (and are the
kits available over the net)? If not, does anyone know how much they will cost,
and how I can order them?

	Hi, Ian. You are correct that Ingres Base Tools and VIGRAPH are third party tools that must be ordered specially in order to use the DECmcc Reports package. Ingres/SQL front end and database come with ULTRIX, so you don't have to pay extra for them, or order them specially. The part number for the base tools is below: QB-YVBAA-T5, at a price of $3580.00 You can order the above part number by sending your request to WMOIS::SDCISO. 	I would like to add the following... The QB-YVBAA-T5 part number is the Ingress Base System Tools for RISC for DS3100 sized machines. The list price for the license is $3580, the internal price is $1963. However, if you are running MCC on a DS5000 you will need QB-YVBAS-T5 which is $23,366 list and $13,738 internal. Both products carry a nominal ($133.01) internal transfer fee from SSB in Westminster, Ma I don't have the equivalent information for the VIgraph product. A person at Ingres told me that VIgraph wasn't very special and wouldn't recommend spending whatever the money was for it. For what it is worth, Ingres Application by Forms for RISC is $13,300 list and $6746 internal. Tom

	This note is in response to note 1982.3. I have confirmed the part number and price for the INGRES Base Tools that are needed for the Personal DECstation 5000 model 25. They are as follows: Part Number: QB-YVBAA-T5 MLP: $3,580.00 This part number is applicable for not only the model stated above, but for 3100 machines as well.
