    Hi,
    
    Sorry if this has been answered somewhere else .
    
    When i try to register a station using the Ethernet AM , i always get
    the following error :
    
    'Cannot communicate with target'
    
    I tried to register its with different supported functions without any
    success .
    
    This problem occurs on two different directors(DECMCC T1.2.4), one 
    installed on ULTRIX V4.2 (No DNS installed) and the second one a VMS node 
    using as namespace DNS.
    
    Follows a logfile of the problem.
    
    Any idea of what is wrong.

        1.  The Ethernet AM does not support management of an Ethernet port
            that is part of the system hosting DECmcc.
