1959.1 | Need correct license | TOOK::R_SPENCE | Nets don't fail me now... | Tue Dec 17 1991 13:55 | 4 |
| It is likely that you do not have the field test license installed.

| Rob,
I installed the new licenses that were in the same location as the
kit that I copied. It said after I installed the new licenses, that
they were already there.
How do you deinstall an old license?
Thanks Dave

1959.3 | What version of VMS and network? | FOUR62::LICAUSE | Al Licause (338-5661) | Wed Dec 18 1991 08:21 | 12 |
| Please let us know what version of VMS you are running and if you are running
any field test network software such as DECnet/OSI V1.0.
I received similar errors and it has nothing to do with licensing.
There appear to be bugs in some of the access modules when they are
ENROLLED and TESTed.
Hopefully someone else will try the combination of T1.2.4, V5.5 VMS and
field test of DECnet/OSI.

| VMS 5.4 I do not know what the version of DECnet is. It is the plain
normal version. I am not running anything like DECnet/OSI.
I plan to put on Motif 1.0 and then VMS 5.5
I only want to put on one thing at a time. Should I go and copy the
latest decmcc 1.2.4 and try this?
I am now loading the 1.2.3 decmcc again. this time i got a new
paks.com file and edited out the decmcc licenses. then I put the new
ones that came with the kit. now reloading decmcc 1.2.3.. will let
you know what happens. when i tried to bring up decmcc map, it did very
weird things.
Thanks Dave

First, please make sure there are no old mcc images in sys$specific:[syslib]
Then try to rerun the mcc_startup_bms file with the parameter ENROLL
This will delete your old dispatch tables and create a new version.
Note that you will have to re-enroll any third party MMs by hand after
entering this command.
Example of how to recreate the dispatch tables
$ @sys$startup:mcc_startup_bms ENROLL
Also, VMS 5.4 of the "BACKUP" command does not always work well (possibly
with DFS). We have received corrupted parsetables or images with no
error messages from BACKUP during the installation.
You can also try to extract a new version of mcc_common:mcc_fdictinary.bpt
from the saveset MCCBMST012.D
$set default mcc_common
$backup/select=mcc_fdictionary.bpt kit_loc:MCCBMST012.D/save mcc_common:
