| Which operating system are you using?
Have you ever had a previous version of DECmcc installed?

1901.2 | VMS V5.4-3... | HAZARD::BAKER | Paul Baker, UK Product and Technology Group - 844 3311 | Mon Dec 09 1991 18:16 | 6 |
| Erik,
I'm running VMS V5.4-3 on a VS3100. I was running V1.1 SSB version with all
optional AMs installed.

1901.3 | DECmcc processes running during the install??? | TOOK::T_HUPPER | The rest, as they say, is history. | Tue Dec 10 1991 10:26 | 10 |
| If any old V1.1 DECmcc processes were running at the time of the
installation, you would see this error. The event memory pool has
changed for V1.2, and the 1st error encountered is the difference in
size. Perhaps a better 1st error would be event pool version skew.
Our current installation does not stop or check for all currently
running DECmcc processes. Likely suspects are V1.1 alarms processes
running in batch. Could this have been the case?

1901.4 | Getting rid of the V1.1 left overs fixed the problem | HAZARD::BAKER | Paul Baker, UK Product and Technology Group - 844 3311 | Fri Dec 13 1991 08:13 | 8 |
| Ted, Erik,
Many thanks for your help.
Getting rid of the old V1.1 left overs fixed the problems. I still had alarms
and the TSAM running.
Paul.
