Hello I am sizing a DECMCC host for one customer and I am using the MCC_RESSORCES.ps mentioned in one note. I have some problems with the formulas which are used. I understand the formula : # nodes * (executor * # circuits * # lines)* abc spec-second This formulas gives for the CPU of the Hist AM a value of 270 Spec-sec What I do not understand is the next step in the computation, ie Total Performance = 270 Historian Record / hour on 1 Specmark cpu allowing for 75% cpu usage. Could you help me with this ? Which formula is used ? Thanks and regards Pierre EIS Luxembourg

Could someone please point me to the MCC_RESSORCES.ps referenced in the previous not? I have a situation where a customer wants to runn windows to a DECmcc server system on a VMS platform that will support up to 7 cocurrent users. He wants to mange a network of 82 nodes, 16 are DECbnet nodes, and the rest PCs. He wants to store 30 days worth of real time data with the data collector, and one full year of summary data. Will the above mentioned document help clarify the system sizong for such requiirements? Thanks. Merlin |
