I've installed the DECmcc BMS T.1.2 sucessfully on a DECsystem 5500 The page 1-16 of the "Planning and Installation for ULTRIX Guide" explain that you can select a LOCAL or DNS MIR in the installation procedure but my installation flow didn't ask me to choose . DNS MIR support is not included in this IFT version? What I'm doing wrong ? How can I use an existing namespace? Thanks in advance. Francisco Rejn (NSC Spain)

Sorry, the early DECmcc for ULTRIX field test did not include support for DECdns. Say tuned; an updated internal field test will be ready very shortly. However, the DECdns clerk (included with the base system or DECnet, not DECmcc) does not support systems running DECnet phase IV. If you plan to use DECdns from ULTRIX, you will need to install DECnet Phase V. -- Erik | |||||
