Hello, I'm using DECmcc 1.1 to monitor a network made by eight DEMSA x25 routers. These routers are all connected on the same LAN, they all have only one line (X25-0) connected to the PSI network and we run several DLMs over these lines. When I try to setup the speed for the lines in order to use the PA module I get this error: INTERNAL ERROR IN DECNET PHASE IV AM MCC ERROR %MCC-E-NOENTITY no corresponding entity instance exists. This error only happens on three out of eight routers and the only difference I can see between them is that these 3 routers have more DLM defined (nearly forty each) than the others five. I could not delete DLM from the 3 routers since they are running in a production enviroment so I cannot prove my statement. Is there any known problem related with the number of entities a decnet phase iv node can handle? thanks in advance and regards giovanni b

Hope it is not toooooooo late to answer this note: > When I try to setup the speed for the lines in order to use the PA > module I get this error: > INTERNAL ERROR IN DECNET PHASE IV AM > MCC ERROR %MCC-E-NOENTITY > no corresponding entity instance exists. There is a known bug in DECmcc V1.1: If the line is not registered we get this error message (This bug has been fixed in V1.2.) Could you check whether these lines are regsitered properly by using MCC> DIR NODE4 <XXXX> LINE <YYYY> If they are not registered, please register them using MCC> REGISTER NODE4 <XXXX> LINE <YYYY>. and then try setting the line speeds. /Jesuraj |
