1843.0. "ncp vs. mcc show counters, why the difference??" by COL01::LUNT () Fri Nov 22 1991 06:03
Hello,
Yesterday I was monitoring three nodes for Send and Receive
Failures due to a possible problem on the segment. I noticed that the
counters that I recieved from DECmcc on NODE4 entities told me
that send and recieve failures had occured but do not tell me the
type such as Block Check Errors" or "Remote failure to Defer" as does
"NCP show node blabla known line counters" d
Commands used:
MCC: show node4 blabla line * all counters
NCP: show known line counters
I was under the impression that MCC should have all the functionality
that ncp has. In this case MCC was not useful to me because I need to
know why the send or recieve failures occurs.
Is this a known problem, will it be fixed, or what if any status/info
can you provide me?

Thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, it is a known problem. I believe there is a QAR bringing up this
problem. We will investigate and fix it as soon as we go into Field Test.
