For an entity that have no status attributes in the MSL, but are defined as 

        STATUS ATTRIBUTES
        END ATTRIBUTES; (* STATUS *)

the IMPM displays the status attribute partition on a SET directive when the 
operation menu is pulled down. 
Actually if selected (operations -> SET -> status), the operation window
is displayed with no attributes and if the start operation button is pushed,
the following error message occurs:

NO fields have been edited. Start the operation after modifying one or more 
fields.

If      STATUS ATTRIBUTES
        END ATTRIBUTES; (* STATUS *)

is removed from the MSL, then the status partition does not appear on the 
SET directive.
