1722.0. "MCC_EXPORTER_BACKGROUND disappears" by JGO::BEKKUM (Avoid falling anvils) Fri Oct 25 1991 12:53

    Having trouble with the MCC_EXPORTER_BACKGROUND

    What happened:

    I stopped all exporting using the suspend command, after that
    I did a delete for all the lines,circuits and nodes.

    The next step was to stop the MCC_EXPORTER_BACKGROUND process
    in batch and delete the *.RDB and *.SNP file.

    All of this went OK

    Now, I'am trying to setup exporting again but its failing with
    the following argument:

    BTS =="$SYS$SYSTEM:MCC_EXPORTER_FM_BG.EXE"
    BTS "SYS$LOGIN:MCC_EXPORT.RDB

    specified attribute record does noet exist

    The background process in batch has stopped, but an RDB database
    is available in sys$login.

	Before I stopped exporting everything worked fine even the
    	report option. Nothing has changed on the system.

    	What could be the problem.

	Please, answer the following questions. It will help to
	understand how you run into this problem.

> I stopped all exporting using the suspend command, after that

	I assume that you did a "delete exporting". Is it correct?
	Did you type CTRL/C during "delete exporting"?

    When does the background terminate? Before you type Export directive
    or after?

-----------------------------------------------------------------------
	If you do not have any exporting requests you want to save in
	SYS$LOGIN:MCC_EXPORT.RDB and all other databases you can delete
	the following files: mcc_common:mcc_*.mcc_exp*.;*
	(note: these files does not effect the exported data)
