Hello all,
I have 2 different sources around disk space requirements for BMS, and
they contradict themselves :
The first one indicates 21,275 blocks on the system disk and 47,000
for MCC_COMMON
The second one reckons 51,000 blocks during install and 49,000
after install.
Can anyone explain this ? Or at least tell me what the exact disk space
requirements are for BMS ?
Thanks,
Brigitte

DECmcc Installation (AA-PD58B-TE) March 91 -
pg. 1-7
Disk space requirements:
Total disk space 70,000. If using alternate disk for MCC_COMMON files
you need 20,000 on system disk and 50,000 on alternate disk.

Re: .1
Yes, but in documentation (AA-PAKUC-TE) DECMCC Management Station
Installation (EMS Installation), Page 1-10, it says you need
51,000 blocks.
Re: .0
This is a documentation error. I brought that up to John Egolf,
and the documentation manager (name?) at NetU. It should be
corrected in the next version. (right?). The correct answer for
BMS is what is stated in .1

For the next version it will be different.
Also, if 1k blocks makes a differnce at the install, the likelyhood
of the system continuing to run very long is low since files will
grow over time and files are created.
