Hi,
I seem to be having a problem on B/W tubes acting as a X-server
and using the iconic map display. No matter what I set in the
MCC_RESOURCE.DAT file, the map foreground color is always black.
Of course, this does not work well with the icon names, either bacl
or white, sooner or latter a name is wiped out. Here is the
MCC_RESOUCE.DAT I am using in the sys$login.

Could someone tell me what I am doing wrong, or if the "interior"
of a map backdrop can be made white.

| Hi,
In the release notes Page 2-3 item 8 it is stated that the map
foreground color should NOT be defined in case of a B/W monitor. Maybe
this will help.

Dave,
I think you found a bug. The work around for now is to edit your map
file and replace the lines (there're quite a few of them).
object_type 4
with
object_type 3
That will give you the 'interior' color of a map backdrop same color as
your map_windowBackground (in your case, white).
