On creating a domain I entered a logical name for the directory. On trying to start up the historian I get errors due to the fact that the que file cant find some file. Now I understand that the problem is the specification of the logical e.g. it should say sys$manager: rather than sys$manager. The answer to this seems to be to create a temp domain, copy the contents into this domain, delete existing domain and recreate it with the correct directory spec and then copy it back again. Understand all this but I have also created a large map of each of the domains in the iconic map. Is there any way of saving the map of the domain as well? John Davies EIS, Bristol

>> Is there any way of saving the map of the domain as well? Hi, Try the instruction in NOTE 1101.1. I have used this method a couple of times successfully to "SAVE" the work done creating maps. Once when changing my namespace, the other when moving to a different disk. Both cases meant creating a new domain. best regards, brad... | |||||
