Subj: Naming Conventions for things in DECmcc
I'm in the process of getting things registered in DECmcc and discovering
that lo and behold, when I say REGISTER <class> <entity>
good ol' DECmcc just hauls off and registers it right there in the root
of the namespace.
I'm in the process of deciding some conventions for names and directories
and would like to hear(see) how others of you have sorted this out for
your installation. I'm torn, especially with respect to DOMAIN names.
So, if any of you would be willing to post or email samples of your
name structure(s) for the various classes of entities in your network
I would really appreciate it.
I'll be more than happy to share what I come up with once I've
reached some decisions about it.
Right now the only thing I've decided for sure is that DNA4 entities will
be arranged in a geographically divided tree.
