1672.0. "Toolbox DELETE/DEREGISTER." by KERNEL::OSBORNE () Fri Oct 18 1991 05:28

    Is there any plan to include an acknowledge window when using the
    Delete Domain domain Member entity and Deregister entity, from the
    Toolbox ?.

1672.1No plans for extra acknowledge windows on deletes.TOOK::A_MOORETue Oct 29 1991 17:3415
I am assuming that you mean, after the delete or deregister toolbox operation
completes, a popup acknowledge window comes up and the user clicks again to get
rid of it.

An acknowledge window would be overkill. The user can see that the delete or
deregister operation is in progress by the watch. Then when the icon disappears
from the map and the watch turns back to a cursor is the user's acknowledgement.
An additional popup would be anoying and slow work down.

In V1.2 there is a new function that can save a Map. So a user could do a save
before doing edits, and they could recover if they did something hasty they
regreted.

1672.2Query on DeregisterTOOK::R_SPENCENets don't fail me now...Tue Nov 05 1991 15:257
    I assume the question was asking for a pop up if you try and Deregister
    something that would ask "Do you really want to do this?"

    It is too easy to deregister something and far too hard to recover if
    you do.
