We are running BMS v1.1 w/ELM and are getting the following error message when attempting to access a Terminal Server (DS550) - "No Useable Service Circuits". Specifically, this message comes up when trying to expand the "Port...", or "Device..." options while using the DECwindows interface. The same occurence exists with using the character cell interface. Thanks in advance, Steve Frewin

A few things to check... Does the service circuit registered in TS AM for the server match a service circuit on the host? (SHOW TERMINAL_SERVER ts SERVICE CIRCUIT for the terminal server, SHOW NODE4 host CIRCUIT * for the host). Can you reach the server's remote console any other way? (NCP connect, TSM if you have it) Do you have any other servers, if so can you expand their port entity? Did you ever try this before the ELMS AM was installed? - Linda | |||||

After reviewing the service circuit for the terminal servers we have determined that the error message was caused by moving from a UNA to a BNA on the MCC host. We have updated all the Terminal Servers so that they now see the BNA. Thanks for your help, Steve |
