Has anyone noticed the following difference between ELMS and
MCC Bridge AM. Note the 'Device Broken Reason' in both cases.

Bridge AM and DECelms interpret the attribute differently:
- DECelms shows what the Device Broken Reason was the last time that
a failure occurred.
- Bridge AM shows what Device Broken Reason is (i.e. the bridge state
is "Operating", not "Broken", so Device Broken Reason doesn't
apply), not what it "was".

So DECelms is saying the bridge has had a problem sometime in the past (possibly before the last reboot) while Bridge Am is saying that because the bridge is operating, there is no need to examine the 'device broken reason' field. I assume that a reset to factory setting should clear the message. regards, Ian | |||||
