| There are two potential meanings for subclass wildcarding. Here is a
stab an an answer for both:
1) The last I remember, instance wildcarding for child classes was left to
the discretion of the MM developer, so support is not consistent
throughout MCC. Most AMs support this so they can work in harmony with
the Registration FM.
2) If you mean class wildcarding for child classes, then you are
correct, class wildcarding is not supported before V2.0 and as far as I
know, there are no firm commitments for that timeframe either.
Class wildcarding requires specific support from the PMs, the
Information Manager, the dispatcher, etc. and does not have a
straightforward architectural solution at this time.
