A customer has stated that the SNMP V1.1 Am does not have the ability to do 'set directives' to a DECbridge 620 or any other SNMP manageable devices. Is it the DECbridge 620 that does not implement 'sets' or is it the AM that is the problem? Can somebody clear the air on this? If the AM is the problem at V1.1, when will 'set' be supported? -thanks, Richard, NIS

The AM supports SET! It is up to the Agent as to if SET is supported at that end. Many agents (I don't know about the DECbridge) do not support SET. So, DECmcc can SET em if the managed device lets it. s/.rob | |||||
