1562.0. "problem registering TS" by CLARID::HOFSTEE (Take a RISC, buy a VAX) Mon Sep 30 1991 11:14
I am having a problem using the TSAM . I just installed it , and the
IVP was successfull. It is version T1.0.0.
When I try to register a terminal server (in this case a DS500), I go through
the normal screens to specify the name, address etc. When I then click on the
iconic map, to place the icon, I get the message
MCC internal error : MCC-E-DNF Directory not found.
The same happens through FCL. I have been using this system for the
past couple of weeks to register NODE4's and other stuff, all without
problems. Any idea what directory (if any) is missing and why?
Thanks
Timo

| Timo,
I believe the DNS directory is .TERMINAL_SERVER . I'll check tomorrow
to be certain and let you know if it is a different permutation.
This should be in the release notes or installation guide for the TSAM.

1562.2 | Correct directory is .MCC_TERMINAL_SERVER_BACKTRANSLATION | CUJO::HILL | Dan Hill-Net.Mgt.-Customer Resident | Tue Oct 01 1991 12:19 | 10 |
| Timo,
After double-checking, the DNS directory is
.MCC_TERMINAL_SERVER_BACKTRANSLATION
^
Use DNSCP (MCR DNS$CONTROL) and CREATE DIRECTORY |
