Hello,
I've registered all the Phase IV & Phase V nodes from the lab into DECMCC.
Routing is exclusively done by DEMSAs. I've registered them as Node5.
When I try to define an alarm, for example concerning area or node
reachability, I need to use as entity a router -> DEMSA -> node (and node node4),
which seems to be an invalid attribute expression .
ex: (occurs (node xxxxx remote node * node reachability change))
or (node xxxxx area x state = unreachable).
Both rule give the same error:
Valid expression was not found in alarm expression
I've tried the same rules with a "node4 yyyyyy" expression eveything is ok,
except that it's not what I need.
Any idea?
Thanks, Eric

(Are you using the WANrouter sw on the DEMSAs?) If you look at help entity for DECnet_OSI Node (vs. Phase_IV_DECnet Node4), you'll find that DECnet-OSI does not use the same sub-entities. You probably want to look at Node Routing sub-entities, but understand that Phase V will not necessarily have the same events available and you may have to jump through some hoops to get the same behavior as your Phase IV command. | |||||
