I've been working with a customer that is running a BETA field test version of the SNMP access module V1.1.0. The customer encounters an error when he queries a DECbridge 500 running V3.0 microcode for its forwarding database. At this time its unclear wheather the problem is with the IETF MIB extensions or with the DECbridge 500 microcode. The syntax is as follows. MCC>SHO SNMP <ip-address> DOT1DBRIDGE DOT1DTP FDB * Internal Logic Error #6 The customer is running experimental draft IEFT Bridge MIB D6, June 1991. The customer has also tried this query using a SUN workstation SNMP server. The SUN workstation could not perform the query either, but the customer did not get the "Internal Logic Error #6" as with MCC. Does anyone have any experience with this, or run into the same problem? I will cross-post this note in the FDDI notesfile. Dave

1543.1 | Table index is of type octet string. | DANZO::CARR | Wed Sep 25 1991 09:05 | 7 | |
Dave, Internal logic error 6 is generated when the index into a table is an octet string. The v1.1 AM can't handle table indices that are of type octet string. Dan |
